I know a kid with a STS4 that the bought a police auction. It was crashed so he built a custom front  bumper, straightened the hood out, painted the front all flat black. It’s also on side steel wheels with eversized A/T tires. It’s a low budget Madmad Cadillac and it’s his daily driver.

Speaking of window visors, Honda genuine window visors now include little chrome strips that continue the line of the chrome trim along the top of the windows.Because if you have window visors that cover the chrome trim you need the window visors to have their own chrome trim, apparently.

My brain hasn’t registered that these are old yet. Not sure if that’s good or bad.

I have never in my life seen someone go to the trouble of painting their Smoker Shades. That’s...dedication?

As have the last gen Eldorados. If only they weren't wrong wheel drive and had an LS instead of the Northstar.

The early Art & Science cars are just different enough from the rest of the market stylistically that it’s hard to date them. I always think they’re about five years newer than  they are.

Yep, agreed. Though I really hated the original CTS for several years. The car just didn’t seem to wear the angles well, but the bigger cars did it ok. Even the CTS-derived SRX handled it better, and it was still a bit of a design mess.

Weird, they looked outdated when they debuted, but  look up to date now. Is that a design success?

I was right there with you about the CTS when it first came out...  then they introduced the CTS-V and it was all good.  A wider tire, and a bit of ground effects really set off that new design.

Absolutely. I think it was just the mass of base 3.6 models with big slab sides and ~16" wheels that ruined it most of all. I’m not a fan of oversized wheels, but when you have a large vertical expanse of metal above it, it’s almost required.
